Disney Wish Cruise Day 2!
This vlog is the sixth of 7 (or more) vlogs in my (hopefully first!) Disney Series. I was joined by Pam, Evie, and Aiden on this amazing trip with stops at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and EPCOT (After Hours) during the Food & Wine Festival before sailing on the Disney Wish in August 2023.
If you are new to the channel, I have a rare muscle disease, so for extended adventures I use my mobility scooter. The vlogs will feature some clips from my Scooter Cam, and I wore this action camera on the rides so that way you could not only see the rides but also how I transfer into and out of them as a person with limited mobility and muscle weakness.
This vlog starts with me taking to the camera first thing in the morning. My appearance does not reflect the relaxing nature of the Disney Wish - that's just how I look and sound in the morning! We enjoyed some room service before heading out on a port day to explore Nassau - the capital city of the Bahamas! We took pitstops in the famous Straw Market, got some frozen drinks, maybe some rum for the road from Graycliff, and enjoyed the fun island music.
I couldn't find a link directly to Theo's photo work, but attached is a blog that tells all about the port's renovations: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/07/06/nassau-bahamas-cruise-port-revamp. I didn't realize until I read this article that Nassau spent $300 million upgrading their cruise port, which is referred to as Prince George Wharf, with the first phase of this redevelopment opening to the public on May 27, 2023.
Back on the ship, we attempted a ride on the Aquamouse and enjoyed some relaxation by the pool and its big screen tv before getting ready for PIRATE NIGHT. I may have forced everyone to dance in their outfits. Even Tinkerbell makes an appearance!
Next we dined at Arendelle - the Frozen dining experience - and enjoyed the music and visits from Olaf, Anna, Elsa, and the rest of the gang!
In this video, I also give an overview of the Disney Cruiseline App and how it works.
To close out the night we watched the fireworks (yes fireworks sent off of the cruise ship), danced and made it on the jumbotron, did a little shopping at Forget Me Knot, and then closed out the night enjoying the Kiss Goodnight (Pirate's Version) from the Disney Wish lobby under the chandelier.
I also lost my shoe, but did I find true love? Tune in to find out!
